A figure you can take to a committee
Nobody at a firm or institution can usually accept an offer made verbally on the doorstep. We provide a written valuation you can put in front of a partner, a finance team, or a procurement committee before anything is agreed.
Invoicing that fits your process
Cash on the day suits an individual practitioner. It rarely suits an organisation. We can issue a formal invoice instead, quote a purchase order or internal reference on it, and settle by bank transfer on your terms.
A fixed date, worked backwards
Lease ends and handover dates don't move. Tell us the date and we'll work back from it — including boxing and removing the entire collection ourselves on the day, so nothing lands on your facilities team.
More than one location
Several sites, one collection.
Clearing four offices is not the same problem as clearing one four times over. If the collection is spread across more than one building — a merger, a set of regional offices, chambers consolidating — it can usually be handled as a single job.
One enquiry, however many buildings
Describe each site on the same form — roughly what is at each, and where they are. You do not need to send a separate enquiry per address, and we will value the whole thing together.
One run where that is simpler
We have arranged a single collection that took over 2,500 books from three different sets of chambers in one go. At that scale it is a truck and a planned route rather than a courier and a stack of boxes — the vehicles belong to our delivery partners and we arrange the job.
Each site on its own terms
Access is rarely the same twice: a lift in one building, three flights and a fire door in the next, a loading window that only works before nine. We plan around each one rather than assuming they match.
Site visits
Available where the size of the job warrants it.
For most collections, photographs are genuinely quicker: they get you a figure usually within 24 hours, with nobody needing to be on site. For a large or complex clearance — several floors, a mix of English and other material, or a collection nobody currently has a full picture of — we can arrange a visit to assess it properly in person. Tell us on the form and we'll say honestly which we think makes more sense for what you're describing.

A lease end or a handover deadline is easier settled on the phone than through a form. The number and the collection address are on the contact page, and the line is answered around the clock.

Buyouts and clearances
Can you provide a written valuation for internal sign-off?
Yes. Many firms and institutions need a written figure before anyone is authorised to accept it. Tell us on the form and we'll issue one in a format you can put in front of a partner, finance team or committee.
Can you invoice us, or quote a purchase order number?
Yes. We can issue a formal invoice rather than settling on the day, and quote a PO or reference number on it if your finance process requires one.
Will someone come and look at the library in person?
Where the size of the job warrants it, yes — we can arrange a site visit. For most collections photographs are quicker and get you a figure the same day, so a visit is an option rather than a necessary step.
Can you work to a fixed handover or lease-end date?
Yes. Tell us the date on the form. We'd rather work backwards from your deadline than ask you to work around our schedule, and we box and remove everything ourselves on the day.
